Epson WorkForce WF-7710DWF review: Features
Gladly, this Alice-in-Wonderland development hasn’t already gotten any useful features: the WF-7710DWF can connect to a wired or cordless network, and publish, check, copy and fax single- or double-sided A3 documents.
Other Printer: Epson ET-2750
With support for the shadow and mobile devices and a USB port for walk-up checks or prints, it is hard to think about anything it does not do, although if you need a 2nd paper cassette, you will need to invest another £30 or two on the or else similar WF-7720DTWF.
Epson WorkForce WF-7710DWF review: Efficiency rates
The WF-7710DWF prints a bit much faster compared to what we’d anticipate from a common A4 equivalent. It finished our 25-page black text test at 17ppm and finished our more complex color video test at an affordable 5.4ppm. It duplex-printed a 10-side color document on 5 sheets at a reasonable rate of 3.2ipm.
On A3 paper, 5 web pages of black text finished in 43 secs, while 5 graphics-rich color web pages took over 2 mins. Scaled up, our duplex test finished at 2.2ipm: that may be slow, but various other printers can also publish on both sides of an A3 sheet.
Both this MFP’s scanner and its 35-page automated document feeder top-out at A3, not A3+, but again, the list of MFPs that can duplex-scan A3 web pages is a brief one. Catch rates were reasonably fast, with a sneak peek of a 150dpi A4 picture finishing in simply 8 secs. Also, a 1,200dpi, 6x4in picture check took much less compared to a min.
A solitary copy took 9 secs in black or 23 secs in color. Using the ADF, 10-page A4 duplicates needed one-and-a-half and two-and-a-half mins specifically. This is among few devices that can complete an automated, double-sided copy of a double-sided A3 document: we timed 10 sides on 5 web pages at 4m 15s.
Epson WorkForce WF-7710DWF review: Outcomes
Generally, the outcomes were great. Checks were comparable to what we anticipate from an Epson device, with great color precision and excellent vibrant range. Ordinary paper prints were typically excellent, too, with firm black text and strong colors. Still, duplex prints and duplicates were significantly fainter, although you can increase the strength of both at the cost of slower prints.
Picture prints aren’t the WF-7710DWF’s forté, however: although its pigment-based inks are fine for matt media, they can’t produce a glossy finish on gloss paper.
Such as a large minority of printers, the WF-7710DWF started warning of reduced ink throughout our standard tests, and 2 cartridges took place to run out throughout our extra A3 testing.
Substitute color inks are available in standard or XL dimensions, and there is an XXL black cartridge. Exercised for the highest capabilities, operating costs are a rather sensible 7.1p for each A4 web page.
Epson WorkForce WF-7710DWF review: Decision
Sensibly valued, with great efficiency, great outcomes, sensible operating costs, and a great choice of features, the WorkForce WF-7710DWF is an outstanding choice for a micro-office that works thoroughly with A3 documents. It is a Best Buy.
